A team at Mourant led by Joel Hernandez and assisted by John MacFeeters, Ellie Oury, Ellie Wood and Jessie Croke has advised Ardent in connection with Ardent's first investment into the UK being the £55.2m acquisition of two logistics portfolios and two off-market properties.
The Mourant team worked alongside the team at Greenberg Traurig acting as English legal advisors to Ardent and Langham Hall, as Jersey administrator.
Richard Benson, managing director at Ardent UK said: “We are pleased to complete our first UK acquisition and to begin building a formidable portfolio of assets. The multiple locations and scale of the various assets combined gives us initial critical mass for our UK investment platform which we are actively seeking to grow.”
Joel Hernandez, Partner at Mourant LP, said: "It's very pleasing to see Ardent mark their entrance into the UK market with such a large portfolio deal completed in record time."
The deal includes the acquisition of the 353,213 sqft Aggregator portfolio with assets in seven locations across Scotland and England, the 942,323 sqft Monument portfolio with assets in three locations in Scotland and England, as well as two additional off-market deals for separate assets in Lancaster and Milton Keynes.
