Debt Restructuring Webinar: The Restructuring Proposal
30 June 2020
In the third and final webinar in our Debt Restructuring series, we discussed what makes (and potentially breaks) a distressed restructuring, the importance of understanding where the real assets are located and how to unlock the value in those assets. We also spoke of creditor disruptors and their potential impact on a restructuring, including the possibility that the plenary process may be scuppered by individual creditor action. In that context, we polled our attendees on what trends they have seen in terms of creditor action - see the polling results below. Market sentiment certainly accords with our observations that for the most part, creditors are getting their house in order and carefully considering their enforcement options with a view to taking action within the next six months.
