William Barnes

Overview

I'm an Associate in the Jersey Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice.  I specialise in multi-jurisdictional trust and corporate disputes, fraud and asset tracing and insolvency proceedings.

I joined Mourant in August 2022, initially working in their BVI office before joining the Jersey team in April 2025.  Prior to that, I worked for a boutique Jersey law firm specialising in commercial litigation and contentious trusts. I trained and qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales with a national all service law firm in Bristol.

I have a particular interest in contentious trusts and probate and I'm a member of the Contentious Trusts Association (ConTrA).
