Alasdair McKenzie

Overview

I am a Senior Associate in our Guernsey Corporate practice.  Prior to joining Mourant in 2017, I trained with Goodman Derrick LLP (now RWK Goodman LLP) in the City of London.

I advise a range of investment fund and corporate clients in commercial transactions, financing (including real estate, asset, NAV and capital call facilities), cross-border fund and corporate restructuring and the establishment of Guernsey private equity and venture capital structures.

I have a particular interest in financial and regulatory technology and am part of the Mourant Fintech Group.

Professional qualifications

• Admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, 2017 (currently non-practising)

Work highlights

• Continuing to advise a leading European PE firm in respect of the establishment and fundraising of their flagship fund structures, including three structures raising over $20bn across a 2-year span
• Advising on the establishment of an innovative Guernsey bioscience fund with an estimated total deal value of $1bn
• Advising a FTSE 100 investment manager on the establishment of two Guernsey funds (income & fund-of-funds) with a combined deal value of $200mm
