Discharged bankrupt can now be an executor in Jersey

In a recent case, the Jersey Royal Court has overturned a long-standing policy of the Registrar of Probate that an individual who is a discharged bankrupt cannot be suitable to act as an executor of an estate. In some circumstances, individuals who have previously been bankrupt may be appointed as executor.
