BVI electronic transactions legislation

The Electronic Transactions Act, 2021, the Electronic Transfer of Funds Act, 2021 and the Electronic Filing Act, 2021 came into force on 9 July 2021. These new acts modernise and enhance the acceptance and use of electronic signatures and electronic transactions in the BVI and recognise and facilitate technological developments in electronic commerce.
