Mourant achieves 31 individual and five top tier team rankings in Chambers UK Guide 2023
20 October 2022
Mourant, a law firm-led professional services business, has been ranked in nine practice areas, including five coveted top tier team rankings, in the Chambers and Partners UK Guide for 2023.
For over 50 years, Chambers and Partners has delivered detailed rankings and insights into the world's top lawyers, legal departments and law firms. The directory is the leading independent professional legal research company operating across 200 jurisdictions. Rankings granted by the guide are recognised as the definitive mark of excellence across the legal sector.
These latest UK rankings were achieved by teams based in the firm's Guernsey and Jersey offices. The teams' offshore law expertise is recognised in areas including dispute resolution, investment funds, employment law and property law.
In the individual UK rankings, 31 Mourant lawyers have been recognised, including five achieving Band 1, the highest ranking available. Mourant lawyers have also been awarded Star Individual, Star Associate, and Associate to Watch accolades.
A source quoted in the guide commented:
"Their service levels and responsiveness are particularly excellent and very reassuring."
Another added:
"The firm has one of the leading financial services regulatory practices in the Channel Islands."
This latest independent recognition by the Chambers and Partners UK legal directory comes off the back of the recent publication of the IFLR1000 2022-2023 guide, where Mourant successfully maintained rankings across the board in all offshore jurisdictions in which the firm operates.
Mourant also maintained 13 top tier rankings for another year in The Legal 500 UK 2023 edition, published last month, in addition to 36 of the firm's Partners, Counsel and Senior Associates gaining highly sought-after individual rankings in the guide.
