Four lawyers sworn in before the Royal Court of Jersey in 2022

Four lawyers at Mourant have been sworn in before the Royal Court of Jersey following the successful completion of their Jersey Law exams.
On Thursday 22 December 2022, Laurie Child and Alex Henderson were sworn in as Advocates, and Kiara Brennan and Vicky Youngs as Solicitors, before the court.
Laurie Child is a member of the firm's Jersey Employment team. Legal 500 UK 2023 lists him as a Recommended Lawyer and Rising Star. In the guide, he is described as having "excellent insight" and providing "impeccable client service with a commercial lens." Chambers and Partners UK 2023 also highlight Laurie's expertise, naming him an Associate to Watch.
Alex Henderson joined Mourant in 2018 as a member of the firm's top tier Jersey Investment Funds practice. Legal 500 recognise Alex as a Next Generation Partner, and he has been ranked as an Investment Funds Rising Star in IFLR1000 since 2020.
Kiara Brennan joined Mourant in 2015 after completing her LLB at the University of York. She left in 2017 to work in-house for a private equity firm in New York, returning to Mourant in April 2022 as a trainee in the Litigation team. Kiara completed the Jersey Law exams this summer.
Vicky Youngs joined the Mourant team as a bursary student in 2015 whilst completing her LLB Law with Spanish degree at the University of Exeter. After graduating, Vicky joined the Jersey Finance and Corporate team as a paralegal and, later, a trainee when she began studying towards the Jersey Law exams.
