Diversity and inclusion hot topics for Chamber lunch

To mark the week of International Women’s Day, Jersey Chamber of Commerce is holding a lunch on Wednesday 9 March which will focus on diversity and inclusion.

This year’s International Women’s Day aims to ‘break the bias’. In support of the campaign, the Chamber event, which is sponsored by Mourant, will cover why diversity and inclusion should be a priority at board level. It will focus on the local business landscape and the most pressing business imperatives.

Kate Wright, Co-Founder of the Diversity Network and speaker at the lunch, will discuss the importance of gender equality and will make sense of buzzwords such as ‘Equity vs Equality', 'intersectionality', 'allyship' and 'purposeful action’. She will also provide some practical steps and tools that employers, no matter their size or industry, can employ to have real impact in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
