Mourant Ozannes Partner recognised for excellence in insolvency fellowship programme

Leading insolvency and restructuring lawyer and Mourant Ozannes Partner, Simon Dickson, has been admitted into a group of pre-eminent insolvency practitioners having successfully completed INSOL's Global Insolvency Practice Course.

The Fellowship is an academic award that is only achieved following a period of intensive academic study limited to a small number of the world's leading insolvency lawyers and practitioners. Simon Dickson is now recognized as a Fellow, INSOL International.

Commenting on Simon's achievement, International Practice Group Head for Litigation & Insolvency at Mourant Ozannes, Jeremy Wessels said: "This is a real achievement for Simon, and true recognition of his technical excellence in international insolvency. Simon, who is Head of the Litigation and Insolvency Department in the Cayman Islands office, is described by leading legal directory, Chambers & Partners as "Exceptional." Prior to joining Mourant Ozannes he was a barrister in chambers in London. Simon has extensive experience in insolvency and restructuring, fraud and asset tracing and regulatory matters. He graduated from Durham University in 1996 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1998 (currently non-practising) as a Harmsworth Scholar, and to the Cayman Islands Bar in 2002.

Simon added: "It is such an honour to graduate in the 8th class of the Global Insolvency Practice Course and be formerly recognised in this way. It is a rewarding investment that has honed my professional skills and has further helped me to build an even better understanding of other jurisdictions' insolvency regimes, cultures and systems in an increasingly challenging international market place."

Simon will be formerly awarded his Fellowship during 2018.
