MOrsel: Jersey Disability Discrimination Consultation

The Social Security Department issued a consultation paper today inviting comments on the proposed scope of protection against discrimination on the grounds of disability. You can access the consultation document here.
The legislation is expected to come into force on 1 September 2018. The key issues covered by the consultation are:
- The definition of disability for the purposes of the legislation
- Reasonable adjustments
- Exceptions to the protection against disability discrimination
