Applications now open for the 2025 BVI Student Summer Course

Mourant, a law firm-led professional services business, has launched its 2025 BVI Student Summer Course aimed at local students who are interested in pursuing a career in financial services.

Now in its third year, the course is designed to help students understand if a career in financial services is suited to them, and will also benefit those simply looking to gain some life skills and a better understanding of one of BVI's biggest industries.    

The firm is partnering with H. Lavity Stoutt Community College and the Robert Mathavious Institute for Financial Services (RMI) to deliver a curriculum-based course aimed at 15-18 year olds. In addition to the workshops and lectures led by tutors at the RMI, students will take part in a full day off-site visit to a professional services firm in order to experience the real-life industry and corporate environment first hand. 

The 2025 BVI Student Summer Course will run from 8-18 July, with the application process closing on Friday 30 May.

For those looking to participate, no previous experience is necessary – the only requirement is that students are BVI-based and possess a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Lunch and transport is provided free of charge for all students, funded by Mourant.
