Mourant supports Plastic Free Cayman
We're proud to be long-term supporters of the local charity Plastic Free Cayman since 2019.
Plastic Free Cayman is an organisation passionate about reducing single-use plastic in the Cayman Islands. They aim to raise awareness of the growing issues surrounding plastic pollution and help others on their plastic-free journey. Plastic Free Cayman began as a grassroots movement in 2017, receiving their 'Not for Profit Charitable Trust' certificate in 2018.
We've partnered with Plastic Free Cayman on a number of occasions to assist with beach clean-ups and in May 2022 we supported the fundraising efforts of Oly Rush, who set a world record as the first person to swim all the way around Grand Cayman! Oly completed his world record breaking 36+ hour swim around Grand Cayman to raise funds for Plastic Free Cayman and highlight their mission to rid our waters of plastic pollution and raise awareness of plastic pollution in our oceans. In total, Oly raised more than US$20,000 for this fantastic organisation.
Protecting the world's ocean is important to us and as part of the Mourant Ocean Pledge we're committed to supporting the work of organisations dedicated to marine conservation.
