Mourant STEP Conference sponsorship supports UK marine conservation project
Mourant is proud to be a long term supporter of the STEP Guernsey Conference. In 2022 and 2023, Mourant was the Carbon Offset sponsor at the event, and in 2024 we invested in the Platinum (eco) sponsorship package.
Over the years, the firm's sponsorship has enabled STEP Guernsey to make a donation (to offset, in monetary terms, the carbon footprint in delivering the conference) to charities including:

LIFE Recreation ReMEDIES
This £2.5 million, five-year marine conservation partnership project aims to preserve our seabed at five special areas of conservation in Southern England. ReMEDIES stands for Reducing and Mitigating Erosion and Disturbance Impacts affEcting the Seabed.
WaterAid
Conference attendees were provided with Belu water while at the event. Belu invests its profit to reduce carbon emissions entering the atmosphere, supports water stewardship projects, is working towards a circular economy and aims to bring clean water to everyone. Since 2011, the charity has given £5.8 million to WaterAid.
As a global business and a responsible corporate citizen, we know that environmental sustainability is an imperative for our firm, as it is for many of our clients. The firm's sponsorship of the STEP Guernsey Conference aligns with this global sustainability goal, which also includes the Mourant Ocean Pledge.
