Mourant is proud to be headline sponsor of the inaugural Sustainable Business Conference, taking place on Tuesday 15 October in Guernsey, and Wednesday 16 October in Jersey.
The event programme comprises a series of keynote speakers, panel interviews and interactive round table discussions with renowned industry experts and thought leaders to inspire positive change for a more sustainable future. Both events will conclude with a speaker panel, audience Q&As and a networking drinks reception.
The vision of the conference is to bring together leaders from organisations across the Channel Islands to drive innovation and to discuss best practice in sustainable business. There will be a focus on practical tools to help delegates take the necessary steps within their organisations to support the current and future wellbeing of people and the planet.

Sally Rochester, Director of Mourant Consulting, will host both events. Leading the provision of the firm's Guernsey focused Regulatory and Sustainability Advisory Services, Sally has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has developed her regulatory expertise over the last decade through delivering engagements both for clients and local regulators and more recently held the role of Executive Director of Supervision for a local regulator.
Sally has also built on her knowledge of sustainability through studying for a Masters in Sustainability Leadership with the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, supporting the delivery of the IOD Guernsey Branch's sustainability work, and spearheading the development of the Mourant Sustainability Strategy.
Commenting on the firm's involvement in the event, Sally said:

Keynote speakers at the conference include Dr Victoria Hurth, an Independent Pracademic and Fellow from the University of Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership; Steve Kenzie, the Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network UK; and Dr Marc Kahn, Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer at Investec Plc, where he chairs the group’s ESG Executive Committee and heads the group strategy function. Marc is also a senior associate at the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, Cambridge University.
