The Cayman Islands administrative fines regime

Part VIA of the Monetary Authority Act (2020 Revision) allows the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) to impose administrative fines upon individuals and entities licensed and regulated in the Cayman Islands. CIMA may impose such administrative fines in respect of breaches of certain prescribed provisions, categorised as minor, serious or very serious.
